“Took you long enough.” I rolled my eyes at Liam when he finally picked me up. I’d called Landon earlier when I got arrested, but he was busy. He told me that Liam promised to take care of it.
But I’d been at the station for so long without seeing any sign of him. It was almost dark before he came to pick me up.
Cora had already left.
And she was the reason why I ended up there.
“Abby!” Liam replied with a deep exhale. “Don’t say a word until we get to your house.”
I could tell he was upset.
But his best friend was present, and maybe he didn’t want to talk about the situation in front of him.
The ride back home was long.
