I shake Joseph awake, and he groans. It makes me smile. He was drunk last night. Drunk!
“It’s time to get ready for breakfast,” I whisper into my mate’s ear.
Joseph grabs my pillow and pulls it over his head. “You’re too loud.”
I smile at him. It’s so unlike my very formal mate. If I’d seen this the first time we met, I wouldn’t have been scared of him one bit.
I leave the man alone and go to the bathroom, getting ready for the day. I hear Peter wake, so I scoop him up quickly, hoping that he didn’t wake Joseph. I put on a light blue dress and put Peter in a matching outfit. I doubt he’ll need it this morning, but I leave a navy suit and white shirt out for my mate, just in case.
