-Cora- “You look stunning, mate,” Joseph tells me as he zips my dress behind me. “Hazel said it was appropriate, but it doesn’t feel nice enough,” I say softly, feeling so terribly unsure. We decided on a black velvet dress that’s long, but has thin straps holding it up. It’s very form-fitting and not something I would usually wear, but I liked how it fit when I tried it on at home. Now, though, I feel underdressed. “You’re comparing it to the royal balls you’ve been to,” he tells me, leaning over to kiss my cheek. “Besides, you haven’t put on your jewelry yet.” I nod and open the box with the necklace I selected in the room where we keep the jewelry.
