I pull back and look into my son's eyes.
"Eli, what did you just say?"
"Shadow is my wolf," he says.
"I don't understand Eli. You have a wolf like Kael has a wolf."
He nods but refuses to meet my eyes. My heart is racing. My son is a werewolf. How is this possible? That would have to mean that my one-night stand was with a wolf. Holy sh*t, does that mean he is part of Kael's pack? I push those thoughts away and focus on my son.
"Eli, tell me about Shadow."
"Only I can hear him. He is small with black fur, but he told me when I get bigger so will he. One day we will be able to change into him," he says.
