Seraphina POV
I tossed and turned all night. Dreams about Kael, Eli, and wolves plagued my sleep. I turn picking up the phone from the nightstand, grateful to see it's already nine. I wonder if Kael knocked trying to wake me before he left this morning. I mean surely he had to head to the office despite saying we needed to talk. He missed most of the day yesterday, so he probably plans to talk to me tonight. My body relaxes despite the ache in my chest.
I slide out of bed and make my way into the bathroom. I quickly shower and throw on a pair of yoga pants and a loose-fitting T-shirt. Once I pull my hair into a ponytail, I make my way to the door. I open it slowly. Listening for a moment, I hear Eli talking to Jessie. I listen for a few more seconds to see if Kael joins the conversation
