Seraphina POV
Since Jessie had left earlier, Kael didn't have to use the wheelchair to move around the house now that both Eli and I knew he wasn't really injured. I was shocked that Eli didn't ask more questions. I was also curious what he told him about the reason. I made a mental note to ask my son what they had talked about after he picked him up from Gilda's.
We had lunch together in the theater room watching movies that Eli chose. I was very aware of Kael the whole time as he took every opportunity he could to touch me. Nothing inappropriate, just brushes of his hand on my arm or pulling my hair out of the ponytail I put it in this morning. Whispering commentary about the movie close enough that I could feel his breath against my ear.
