It's been two days since we visited Lyra and she examined Eli. It's also been two days since we sat in a small pizza place like a real family just enjoying each other's company. Part of me is still worried that Kael isn't being completely honest with me, but I'm trying to listen to the part that wants him to mean what he said.
I had just finished discharging a patient when I stepped into the hallway. I cringe at the sight in front of me. What the hell are Thomas and Lydia doing here? The minute she spots me, an evil smile spreads across her face. Thomas looks like he wishes he could be anywhere but here.
"Sera, I was hoping we would see you today. I have some good news to share with you, sister," she says.
