This is probably the biggest mistake of my life. But what can I do? I have sat around long enough. Ten years without my mate. Ten years of going through a werewolf heat without my mate by my side to help me. Ten years, my daughter has been without her father. Ember will understand. She is old enough to understand why I have to try to help her father.
When I saw that picture of the house we were staying in, I knew I had to go. I had to know if it were true. Now, here I am. Outside that very house. It looks just like how we had left it all those years ago. It was eerie, like nothing had changed, but, of course, everything had changed.
