“Look Aunt Evie, shells, can we put them on the castle?”
“We sure can sweet pea. Let’s put them next to the castle we built and then get into the water. Your Auntie Evie’s butt is on fire from the sun.”
Carly giggled at me. I loved her little giggle. When we got to the beach I was surprised to see that it wasn’t that crowded. There was a big gathering a few feet away, it looked like a birthday gathering. There were a lot of really big men, pretty women, and kids. There was a hugely pregnant woman, and I felt a pang of envy. She was gorgeous. The man next to her was too. D*mn they make them fine down here in Florida.
