I looked between them. “You’re saying we were followed?” Noah turned toward me. “Not all the way.” “That wasn’t my question.” “No.” That was the answer I wanted. It just wasn’t the answer I liked. The dark haired man looked at me once more before focusing back on Noah. “She’s not scared of you.” “No,” Noah answered. “She’s angry.” “I can be both,” I said.
