(Reese) Tonight should've felt simple. The weekend was ending, the apartment was quiet, and tomorrow was already arranged in the way I preferred things to be arranged. Meetings in the morning, approvals by midday, fittings in the afternoon, two calls that needed decisions and one vendor who would inevitably try to renegotiate a deadline I had no intention of moving.
