I managed to set my priorities right.
Kaiden and I have had the best relationship for the past two months. Maybe it was because Lucas left Japan. He didn’t move back to New York, he just had a family emergency he had to take care of.
I wasn’t thrilled about the incident, but I saw it as a blessing in disguise. If he had still been in Japan, I was certain that he would have caused me a lot of trouble.
Lucas wanted a second chance and I knew he would do anything to make it work.
I felt bad for the girls because it always seemed like the universe didn’t want them to be close to their father. Something always happened to create distance between them.
But it was just temporary. That was what I said to them to make them feel better for the past two months.
