It took two days for me to successfully convince Layla to meet me for lunch. I was the happiest man on earth as I saw her walk into the restaurant.
Initially, I was skeptical about her coming. I had a feeling she just agreed but wouldn’t actually show up. But I was wrong. Layla actually showed up.
As we talked, I only had one thing on my mind that was bothering me. I was curious to know if I was a father or not. I had stalked Layla’s social media and tried to find out if she had any children, but there was no such information on the internet.
“I wasn’t pregnant, it was just a lie. I wanted you to change your mind about the divorce.” I let out an audible gasp as Layla responded to the statement I made about her pregnancy.
