I felt a wave of different emotions as I met Lucas for lunch. I had to constantly let out deep breaths to calm myself down, keeping my mind on the main goal of why I came back to New York.
It wasn’t like I cared anymore, but I was delighted to hear that things didn’t work out between him and Sophia. From the way he spoke, I could tell that she was the one who ended things.
He deserved it.
He threw me out of his house because of her, and she ended up leaving him. I guess he had already gotten his karma. But I still had to get my own revenge too.
