“You have to be nice to her, I don’t care how you felt about her in the past. Everything has changed now, so the two of you will be on your best behavior.” I gave my parents a subtle warning as we talked on the phone.
A beat of silence passed before my mother scoffed. “Are you trying to say that your parents don’t know how to behave?”
“Exactly. That is what I’m trying to say.” I replied coldly. “I just wanted to make sure that we are all on the same page.”
