It had been one month since Lucas left Japan and the kids had been bugging me about seeing their father again. Lucas made sure to talk to them on video calls frequently.
That was the only way they could keep in touch until they finally saw each other again. I was grateful that he hadn’t caused me any trouble concerning the kids.
Everything was going smoothly.
I had a convention to speak at, so I had to drop off the kids with Hana. At this point, they didn’t need a nanny anymore, their granny had taken full responsibility when it came to babysitting.
Hana had no idea how grateful I was to her for doing it.
“I’ll miss you, Mama.” Akira planted a soft kiss on my forehead before she stepped out of the car.
