I had no idea why Layla had a change of heart, but I was happy that she did. I didn’t want to think about what the next step would be after officially meeting the kids. I just wanted to live in the moment.
After Layla and the kids left the airport, I had to inform my assistant that I canceled my flight. She was upset but couldn’t do anything about it.
