I laughed at Amelia's comment about her heels. She was still holding my hand, and Ethan was asleep between us. I told her I'd choose somewhere comfortable for our next date. She seemed pleased with that answer before turning her attention to our son.
By the time we reached the estate, Ethan was beginning to wake up. He rubbed his eyes when the driver opened the door. Amelia helped him out while I collected his book and dinosaur. He immediately asked whether we were having dinner soon.
