Ethan was still talking about Liam's visit as we reached his bedroom. He wanted to know whether his uncle could come swimming with us someday. I promised we would ask him after Ethan started his lessons. Amelia helped him change into his pajamas while I put away his dinosaur notebook.
"Dad, did Uncle Liam really lose the quiz?" Ethan asked. "He knows lots of things because he's a doctor." He climbed beneath his blanket. "I thought he would win."
"Doctors don't know everything about dinosaurs," I explained. "You studied harder than he did." I placed his book on the nightstand. "Maybe you can teach him something next time."
