Mary Ann’s POV By breakfast, I had six guards. Two stood outside the Luna Wing. Two waited near the eastern staircase. Another pair followed me into the dining room. I stopped near the doors and looked over my shoulder. All six halted at once. “What is this?” The senior guard lowered his head. “Additional protection, Luna.” “I can see that.” He wisely said nothing. I entered the dining room. Modric sat at the table with Kylian and Alpha Viktor. He looked as though he had not slept. His hair was neatly arranged, but tiredness darkened the skin beneath his eyes.
