He disappeared into the bathroom, and I released a quick, pleased breath before getting back into bed.
I should’ve known better.
He came out a few minutes later.
Naked! Completely naked.
Even after everything we’d done together, we weren’t married anymore.
At best, we were technically related through some distant family connection.
Walking out like that was a deliberate challenge.
The second I saw him naked, I swear my brain was about to explode.
My vision actually went a little blurry.
I seriously couldn’t understand how he could just walk out there naked like it was the most normal thing in the world.
