She always threatened to kill me and never followed through.
After hearing it so many times, it just sounded cute, like a cat hissing with its fur puffed up.
I pulled her against me and rubbed my face against her shoulder.
“Honey, I’ve only ever been with you. Nothing happened with Liliana.”
She tried to shove me away, but I held on.
“Believe me, okay?”
She looked tired of the entire conversation.
