In the middle of the night, I woke up thirsty, and I found that something was missing.
Jaxen.
He wasn’t in the bedroom.
The thought immediately made me suspicious.
What if I fell asleep and he showed up in the middle of the night?
I could already picture being dragged out of a perfectly good sleep because my ex-husband suddenly decided he wanted to bother me.
