The suitcase always seemed great until I started living on the streets. Now, it’s burdensome. It’s too big and I still don’t own enough to fill it. I need a different bag, something I can carry on the move.
My stomach growls, bringing me back to the biggest issue at hand. I need to eat. It’s been a few days since I left. I’ve been super sick, though I think it’s from not taking the medicine they were giving me so I wouldn’t hear the voice again. It’s hot, and I’ve been sweating so much. Hopefully, it will all be out of my system soon.
The sun sets, and I head toward the mall. There are a few restaurants here, and maybe I can find some food that it’s too bad after they close. There’s one chain place that closes a little bit before the rest, so I head over the
