Declan and Leah walked into the dining room together, still talking about something that had apparently happened in the kitchen.
Leah was wiping her hands on a dish towel when she looked up.
Her eyes landed on Ethan and she froze. The towel slipped from her fingers.
"Ethan?"
Ethan was already pushing his chair back. He stood immediately, his expression breaking into a grin as Leah hurried toward him.
"Oh, my goodness!" She wrapped both arms around him before he could say another word.
"I can't believe my boy is all grown!"
Ethan laughed against her shoulder. "Leah, I'm not sure how long you planned on keeping me frozen at twenty-one, but I'm pretty sure I've been an adult for a while now."
