Gold moved the plate away.
"Don't even think about it."
Titan stared at him and Gold stared back. The dog slowly lowered his head.
"That's right," Gold muttered. "Respect your elders."
Harper burst out laughing. "That dog has never respected anybody in his life."
Gold pointed his fork at Titan. "He respects me…you'll see."
Titan immediately stole a piece of cornbread from the edge of the table and Gold stared in disappointment.
Harper nearly fell out of her chair and grinned so hard….even Ethan laughed.
The sound made Sage look at him because she hadn't heard that laugh from her brother in years.
She smiled quietly. Then she reached for the serving spoon while she stared at Gold.
"I want to thank you."
Gold looked over. "For what?"
"For letting Ethan be part of your MC."
