Ava As I rushed downstairs, I clutched the car key tightly, the rain pounding against my skin like a relentless drumbeat. I had no choice but to brave the storm, so I pushed on, my eyes fixed on the car that seemed to be my only refuge. Approaching the vehicle, I tried to unlock it, but my fingers struggled to insert the key into the wet lock. The key seemed to slip through my grasp, and I muttered under my breath, frustrated.
