Serena Vale ~•~ I went back home after that. I knew it was immature to run away after every silly argument but it wasn’t like that was my home anyway. Rafael tried to stop me when I decided to leave, but he didn’t succeed. I spent that night tossing and turning in bed. Two sides of my brain were fighting. I wouldn’t want either of them to be connected to a person I hated just for business, but turning down Marcus’ offer, if he had any for me, wasn’t very logical either. If Douglas magically came out of prison and wanted to collaborate with them, I would feel betrayed if they agreed even if I wouldn’t explicitly tell them not to work with him.
