We ended up sleeping outside because Serena refused to go inside no matter what.
Serena slept between us, one of her legs thrown over my thigh while her hand was around Rafael’s waist. She did this a lot. Whenever she was sleeping between us, she made sure she was touching both of us.
I stared at her for a while. She looked peaceful as she slept. Our muscles were going to ache after this, but it was the birthday girl’s wish and we couldn’t exactly say no to that.
