Alexis sighed, stepping away from the toilet and making her way to the sink. She couldn’t believe it was happening today of all days. She had to calm down. There had been way too much planning to ruin it for everyone.
Once she was calm, she returned to the room they gave her to prepare. Her dress waited for her. She quickly slipped it on. It was a Laurent original and fitted her like a glove. She loved the way it fit her, and how its sleek, satin finish felt under her fingers. Stepping into the next room she found Aria also smoothing the wrinkles out of her dress. It was mermaid-style with lace brocade. Both dresses were rather simple, but that was how they liked it. There was no reason to put on airs.
“They are finishing up with the girls and will be in shortly,” Aria said.
