Looking out into the dining hall with many of my pack mates here, I take a deep breath and glance at Victoria, who seems to be on edge. She and I had fought earlier over how Ember was behaving.
Ember was different from the weak little omega I used to beat for my own amusement. She walked with her head held high and a purpose to her step.
