Looking at the helicopters being refueled at a nearby airfield, I watch the humans walking around with bright smiles. Some were here learning to fly; others came to use private planes to head to their next destination. We were here to fill up our ten helicopters and head out once more.
Our group of one hundred has caused quite a commotion, and the humans take a wide path around us while we wait. Everyone is silent as we order from the two food stalls, grabbing something to eat until we can leave.
“Ember found something...interesting about her abilities,” Amos says, a look of intrigue on his face. He’d been linking someone when we arrived at the airfield. At first, I thought it was Glinda—the she-wolf who spies for him in Snarling Lox—but it seems he was linking my mate.
