Watching the Prince frantically reach Ember after some she-wolf called out his name, I wonder just how close those two have grown. Lady Rose stated that my rejected b***h is Prince Zaid’s second-chance mate, but I didn’t believe it until now—no man would rush to a she-wolf’s side unless he were mated to her or in love with her.
“Believe me now?” I jump at this statement, turning to find Lady Rose standing behind me, her fingers clenching a glass a little hard. “I was supposed to be declared his future Luna Queen,” she mutters, turning her glare to me. “But as you can see, that little w***e has thrown a wrench in my plans.”
