Darkness surrounds me like a warm embrace, cradling me close. I feel safe and happy here, like nothing will be able to harm me. Everything feels calm and soothing, and part of me just wants to stay in this darkness for eternity. But then what would happen to Zaid and our pup?
Reluctantly, I open my eyes, expecting to find myself back in the ballroom. Surprisingly, I find myself sitting under a tree with a field of blossoming white flowers reaching out toward the night sky.
“I see you are awake,” a voice calls out beside me, making me jump. Turning towards the voice, I find a woman wearing a long, flowing white gown sitting amongst the white flowers, her long silver-white hair sprawled out behind her like a waterfall.
