Sitting beside Zaid with my thoughts racing through my head, I replay his proposed idea in my mind and wonder if it will work. We know that his coronation is just under three weeks away, and then his word will command every werewolf out there. We also now know there is a plan that will force Zaid to be alone with Rose during the ball, and it involves a drug.
What we don’t know is how we can prevent their plan from working.
The first step will be to prevent Zaid from being drugged. The drug could be given through the provided food and drinks, which will be flowing freely. We’ll need to be vigilant, with one of us near him at all times.
