Con had a full on break down the minute her eyes locked on mine. Her whole body began to shake uncontrollably as the sobs left her. She started to ramble things I couldnt make out. Between her crying and how fast she was talking, it was impossible to understand what she was saying,
I pulled her into my arms when her breathing began to get faster and shorter breaths. She was starting to hyperventilate, lifting her as I moved to sit on the couch, placing her on my lap, my hand rubbing her back. I could see the sweat building on her forehead. Her body was still shaking,
"Sugar, look at me." My other hand pulled her chin so her face was looking at me, "I need to focus on me, and my voice."
Her red-rimmed eyes lifted to look at me, but the look in them about broke me.
