Chapter 98
“LET ME OUT OF HERE!!!” Sarah shouted, grabbing and shaking the bars of her cell with all her strength. She had no idea where she was. The only memory she had was being in the VIP room in the pack hospital, taking a brief nap between contractions; the next thing she knew, she was in an iron cage.
“Scream all you want,” a voice drifted from the deepest, darkest corner of the room. It was cold, melodic, and entirely devoid of mercy. “No one can hear you. We’re quite a bit further away than the hospital staff would like to think.”
Sarah’s breath hitched, but rage quickly overtook the fear. She knew that voice. It had plagued her very existence from the moment she joined the pack, a constant whisper of malice in the background of her new life.
