Chapter 99
The air in the living room was shifted with a sharp crack of magical energy as Margot and Carter appeared. The transition was rough, and Carter didn't even wait for his feet to find their balance before the room was filled with his pheromones.
“WHERE IS SHE!?” Carter snarled. The sound was barely human, a ragged vibration that seemed to rattle the windows in their frames. His eyes were already bleeding into their wolfish hue, his claws extending as his gaze raked over the gathered pack members, looking for someone, anyone to tear apart.
Dorian moved instantly. He didn't hesitate or maintain a polite distance; he stepped directly into Carter’s personal space, putting himself face-to-face with the distraught man.
“We don’t know yet, but we have a plan to find her,” Dorian said
