Emma's POV. Manfrid did nothing. He just kept staring at me. He had a crazed, hungry look in his eyes. He was panting heavily. His muscles bulged with every breath that he took. Deep red droplets of blood fell from his sharp fangs and splashed gruesomely onto the ground in front of him, staining the white snow with scarlet. My hands shook miserably as I struggled, blindly, to get the key into its slot in the car door. I kept my eyes on Manfrid the entire time. I didn't want to risk looking away from him, even if it was just for a second. I wanted to be ready when he charged. I was panicking.
