Jude Fighting against defense attorneys, especially when I know we’ve got everything we need to put their clients away, is one of my favorite things to do. Hijack was right when he told Wendy that we’ve all struggled with our first time in court. For me, I’ve learned to let my anger build in the first part of the day or trial, and then I take that anger and turn it around on the assholes we’re working to put away when we’re called to the stand. I knew Wendy was struggling. I smelled the blood and saw her clenching her hands so tightly I was afraid the muscles would seize and she’d never be able to unclench them. But she held it together, like the amazing woman she is. And then she fell apart. As much as I hated seeing her literally purging her anger and frustration, I felt like a hero
