The day after our mission and collecting all of those nasty ranked members, the Academy cadets began arriving. Since Sadique and I are already established here, we went to see my mother and the women we rescued after getting our class schedule.
Not surprisingly, Vivienne was still there. Sadique didn’t seem surprised to see her brother, but I was. I hadn’t seen him last night, so he must have come in early this morning.
Sadique walks up to her brother and hugs him without a word. I have enough brothers to know that he needs that hug more than he’d ever let anyone know. But as a sister, I know that, sometimes, you just know when they need you.
I go find my mother and Kennedy, giving them some privacy so they can talk.
