Returning home was a mixed blessing. I missed my family and they were all very happy to see me, but now, I miss seeing Jude all day, every day. We still talk at night, but he and Tracker are working on preparing for the multiple trials that they have coming up. They’ve suggested to the council that I be allowed to stand with them while they present. Jude assured me that I wouldn’t have to speak, it’s just me getting used to being in the courtroom and standing in a different spot with our team, while giving a unified front. The problem is, my father is about to take his position on the Council and I’m not sure he’s willing to let me stand in a courtroom before I’ve turned eighteen and officially started the Academy.
