Wendy sat beside me the entire time Sanatrix was treating Hijack. What I gathered from Cipher was that, unlike me and our team, they didn’t have any warning for their attack, so when Hijack’s ladder got toppled, he went down hard, hitting his head.
When Sanatrix came out, she confirmed what I already suspected.
“Hijack has a concussion. He’ll need to remain in the hospital overnight, possibly for two nights, depending on how quickly his wolf is able to mend his broken bones.”
She then looks around the room. She quickly assesses her mate, walking over to him and cupping his face.
“How bad are your injuries, Arric?”
“I am a strong, powerful wolf, my mate. I will be healed before you’re done helping the others,” Arric purrs at her.
