The rest of the day went by pretty uneventfully. That night, Arden texted Candy to meet up after dinner so they could talk in private. Candy told Poseidon she would be hanging out with Arden around the territory for some girl time, which he had absolutely no problem with.
Candy told Arden to meet her at the Koi pond. Since Arden had yet to visit it, she was excited to see what the place was all about. Westley had described it to her over the phone many times, but it was still hard to imagine a thriving pond right in the middle of the desert.
When she arrived, Candy was already there waiting for her.
“Hey,” Candy greeted, smiling as she saw Arden approaching.
“Hey,” Arden replied. They shared a quick hug before sitting down on the smooth boulders that surrounded the water. “
