Chapter 14
“This is not what I had in mind when you said we would be taking them on two-on-two!” Arden shouted across the sand, completely out of breath.
“Sparring was over! This is more fun anyway!” Sam shouted back from the sidelines, looking thoroughly entertained.
“Gotcha!” Candy exclaimed. She sprinted around from the blind side and leaped directly onto Arden’s back, immediately digging her fingers into Arden's underarms.
“No!” Arden screamed at the top of her lungs, a sound that sent the surrounding pack members into hysterical laughter. Stripped of any formal combat moves, Arden immediately dropped to the ground and rolled hard to the side, squashing Candy under her weight.
“Gah! That’s not fair! You weigh more than I do!” Candy choked out from underneath her.
