"I'll go get you some water, Peaches," Dragon said before kissing my head and leaving the room.
Mom took his place beside my bed and peered down at Dae. Tusk was behind her, and he carefully avoided looking at me as Mom helped me sit up so I could burp Dae. Karma was still asking if I was fine and wasn't happy to hear that I was sore and tired. Like he didn't know that was coming. I rolled my eyes at him and smiled at Mom and Tusk.
"Want to hold him, Gramps?" I asked Tusk.
The large man shifted around, carefully taking Dae from me. He sat down on a chair beside my bed and looked down at the baby in his arms. A warm smile spread across his face. It brought a tear to my eye.
"Alright kid, you gotta tell me the boy's name," Tusk said, looking up at me. "Everyone's dying, especially me."
