Fawn POV
I'm grateful when Thorn and Derek finally leave. Thorn kept looking at me, but I couldn't decipher the emotion in his eyes. What was worse was I wanted it to be love or, at the very least, lust. I'm not sure what the hell is wrong with me, but I need to get a grip. I had no right to be snarky with Thorn when he simply came to check on me. He also has a mate. I would never do to someone else what was done to me.
I push thoughts of Seth and Gabriella from my mind. I'm just glad the pup was alright. Derek said he thinks that despite me not rejecting Seth, the bond is fractured. His betrayal, along with the distance, is making the bond fray. It won't break without the spoken rejection or a new marking, but both could be dangerous for my pup. "We are stronger than he realizes Fawn.
