“Annette,” Damien said. There was some empathy in his voice, but I knew, just from him saying my name, that he was not going to allow me to talk to Sienna.
I probably knew that even without asking. After all, the only reason I had been taken into his pack in the first place was to get me out of the way while Sienna faced judgement. It would go against Jake’s direct wishes, as well as likely Damien’s, to allow me to return and speak to Sienna.
