Seeing this man, the attacker from my dream, his photo now prominently displayed on my screen, pain burst in my mind. I grabbed my head with both hands, leaning over, as images flashed before my closed eyes.
The dream I’d had last night was part of it, but not all. Everything came back to me in a rush, like a broken dam, with the flood waters crashing down.
I remembered who I was.
