That made me recall what Miss Smith had said just a few minutes earlier. Doctor Hill, Miss Smith, and Miss Cahill all had apartments in the same complex. I could just picture the three of them all wearing bikinis and sitting out by the pool at their apartment complex. None of the students from the school would recognize those beautiful women. Of course, I also wondered if she had seen me visiting Miss Cahill the other night, or leaving in the morning.
I turned my attention back to the parking lot. Most of the cars were gone, and the traffic in front of the school had thinned out substantially. A few students looked in our direction, but they were furtive about it. It was as if they worried about the principal catching them looking. I heard Trina speak up then.
